The last few years have definitely changed our lives, some for the good and some for the bad. I had already been working from home, on my own schedule but when COVID hit I had to change things up, just like the rest of the world did. I no longer could go visit people to talk about health and wellness. I had already been doing a bit online, but COVID made me go full time online. I had to change how I did things in so many ways.
No more in person classes, I moved them all to a form of online. I made Facebook groups for classes, did zoom calls, one on ones through zoom, more phone calls, I did lives on my social media and recordings in Youtube. That part of COVID was great because it made me think outside the box and figure out how to reach people, just in a different way. I am still learning and improving each day but I will say I am grateful for that push, in that direction.
Working from home has its PRO's and CON's of course. I would say more for the PRO for sure. It's hard for me to walk by my kitchen and see dishes in the sink and not do anything about it. When I worked away from home I could just leave and not see it, but from home I had to change things up. I have learned to get everything cleaned up in the morning before I start my day. A quick walk around the house to up, and 10 min to do dishes. I also make sure I get my workout and my walk in too or it won't happen. I must say I love the ability to throw some laundry in and prep dinner at lunch. It saves me so much time.
You have to be creative too. I challenge myself to get 10,000 steps a day. Each day I aim to workout and then walk to the end of my road and back which is roughly 3 k.m.. If I do this, I can usually meet my goal. If I can't get that in I have to be creative. I bought this awesome computer tray for my treadmill (which will come in handy in the WINTER) that I can use my laptop and walk at the same time. That way I have no excuses. If interested, purchase

Do you want to feel the freedom of working from home? Is some extra money something you are interested in? Are you interested in health and wellness? Do you want to change peoples lives? If so, I would love to chat with you. Click the Free Consult form on this blog post and I will reach out.
1. Set clear boundaries between work and time off: If you are supposed to work 6 hours in the day, make sure you get those hours in. Maybe your boss doesn't care about 9-4 but make sure you are doing your time.
2. Take advantage of the time you aren't driving to work. Get your workouts in, there aren't any excuses now.
3. Make sure you have a proper office space in your home. You might not use it every day, but if you have to focus or do calls, you need to be able to escape to somewhere.
4. Get dressed every day. Don't stay in your pj's all day. Keeping the same routines is important.
5. Take regular breaks. You can easily get caught up in your day to day job and get stuck at your computer all day. Make sure to take lunch and get up and walk around the house every hour.
6. Minimize distractions. If you are someone who can't handle the dishes on the counter, don't sit in the kitchen. Or if there are others in the house home at the same time, move away from them so you don't get caught up in their day.
7. Sometimes you will need help, just like you did at the office. Don't be scared to reach out to colleagues and ask for HELP.
8. Have a diffuser going at all times. Choose an essential oil that helps with focus. This will keep you on task.
9. Leave the house at least once a week for lunch. You will find you get stuck in your house too often and you need to treat yourself to lunch out.
10. Make sure you are getting enough sleep. If you aren't, you will find your routines will be affected. You won't exercise, you won't get dressed, you won't eat properly. Sleep is so important.
Find the joy from working from home, I sure did.
